HOW ABOUT THEM RANGERS!!!!!!!

Ummm...looks like the Yanks are struggling against Lee. 13 K's and only 2 hits. What was that you were saying about how great Swisher, Texiera, Posada, and Berkman? Cano? Do YOU really follow baseball? Do you know that Texiera is 0-10 for the series? Do YOU know your stats?

Yankee batters 1-6 are 0 for 17 in the game. Explain your stats again, will you? Originally Posted by JnR82

Go Rangers! Cliff Lee is on FIRE!!!!

I still can't believe this is happening.

The Cy Young Award is completely irrelevant at this point. There is simply no better pitcher in the majors right now than Cliff Lee. I watched Roy Halladay the other night, and it's just not even close. To do what Lee did tonight, in New York! Good grief.

The only negative I can think of is that he was too damn good. And you know the Yankees, if you can't beat em, buy em. The Yankees are going to offer Lee a blank check when the free agent period begins. I just hope the Rangers have deep enough pockets to keep him.

Eric Clapton's sound and playing inspired a well-publicized graffito that deified him with the famous slogan, "Clapton is God". - After his performance in the playoffs over the last two weeks - I am temporarily donning Rangers Pitcher Cliff Lee with the same title.
Go Rangers! Helps me break out of my depression from my Huskers and Cowboys over the weekend.

On MLB Tonight, the commentator said it was like Cliff Lee was pitching against high school varsity tonight!

Michael Young said the Yankees crowd were yelling and screaming at Lee and it only pumped him up some more.

Hey genius, yeah I really follow baseball and understand it. It doesn't take a fucking rocket scientist to look up the Yankees TEAM stats against left handed pitching in the 2010 postseason. Umm...look...

Baseball plays a 162 game regular season and you decide to discuss how a team bats against left handed pitching in the 2010 playoffs? After 5 games at the time of your post? And fuck counting Cliff Lee because I made it very clear that the Yankees can't hit him, (hell, no team can in the playoffs.)

Have you ever heard of the term "sample size"? You may need to google the term to understand. I am assuming you've definitely never taken a Statistics class because if you did, you would be smart enough to know better than to post such ignorance when trying to steer an argument in your favor.

Just FYI, if you want a true read on what a playoff team is about and how their lineup bats against lefties, you look at how they performed after a 162 game/ 6 month season and not 2 weeks worth of playoff games..... Just trying to help the clueless and the reading comprehensive challenged folks to understand baseball.

JnR82, I did not bother to look up TEAM stats because I actually watch the games. If TEAM stats meant a lot in pro sports, the Cowboys would be undefeated right now, and not 1-4.....

Teams who win Game 3 after being 1-1 in a 7 game series go on to win the series more than 70% of the time. How about that stat?
