NBA POLICY

Daphne, It's cool to see someone have the courage it takes to put this out there. Much respect!
I wonder if this means providers should run specials for AA men for black history month... Originally Posted by Slim.

I can understand girls who follow it due to Racism,Bad experiences and Ideology, but to do so cause some other provider told you, without any due diligence?
I will leave it up to these other brothers to celebrate and do cartwheels

I don't think most level headed hobbyist care about the RACE these days as much as the statistics http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/racialethnic/aa/facts/ Originally Posted by jay75060

jay75060-Let me Highlight 2 contributing FACTS/FACTORS to what you are trying to insinuate with this link for those who do not have time to read the entire article. 1. Men Who Have Sex With Men. 2. Poverty Levels

1. I'm willing to bet there are more Caucasian dick-in-the booty ass (gay) hobbyist, then there are AAs, Asians, or Latins on this board.
2. How many poverty stricken men of any color do you think hobby? I have yet to see a homeless guy on the side of the street with a sign, that says "Will work for hobby funds".

Need I say more?

And dear, regardless of why you had a NBA, it's very good you came forward with such a change. We overcome racism one step at a time. And where ever we can.

It doesnt take a grown ass woman 2 long years to ask herself "oh wait a minute why am i NBA?? maybe i need to think for myself,do some research and soul-searching"
Plenty of providers put it in their ads just cause they see other girls do it,simple as that.
They don't put much thought into it,they dont care who they may offend, its just another innocuous tidbit to include in their ads.The nonchalant way they go bout doing it is what pisses me off.

You guys still blow up their phones when they are NBA begging for sessions anyway..i can only imagine what her pm box looking like at this moment lol
I'm just not that guy,not going to get excited over a white provider finally deciding to take Black clients $$
She was NBA without even knowing why she was NBA lol and i'm supposed to pop champagne and do the jig now that she is not?

I wish the girl nothing but success and i truly hope she doesnt lose clients because of this[we all know how ignorant folk can be around these parts]

Book her,go see her and have a good time
I will just keep spending my money elsewhere

LOL donkeykong. When I first started, a girlfriend of mine had told me to have an NBA policy and so I did...and I missed out on meeting some really great people. And so now I just have a "No thug" policy, which does not include color. Because ratchness fuckery can be in any race. Originally Posted by Slim.

Slim, wherever the hell 'ratchness fuckery' came from, I think I instinctively know what it is and agree it transcends race, ethnicity, et al.
If you don't mind, I'll probably use it this week to describe some of the knuckle heads I work with.

David, please provide your research that backs up your claim that MOST have this policy for the reasons you state. Should be interesting reading Originally Posted by OldButStillGoing

David not say most black providers. He said most providers. I think there are some who have the notion but no personal experience to go on. Just as the op. What I question is the idea most have this as the reason. I have seen nothing but guys guessing why. There are lots of reasons why this may be. I can even make some educated guesses based on what providers have told me over the years. But I have seen no research that sheds light on what are the most common reasons. David has a long history of making inclusive statements when he seldom speaks for anyone but himself. Thus the request to see the research to support his very broad statement

Damnation I wish I could find it, but I saw a BP ad by a black girl with a 'no AA' disclaimer, yet one of her pics showed a black guy taking one of her photos.
I will agree with you that, in and of itself, this proves nothing.
Hell, the guy was probably just her husband or brother, or maybe a professional photographer.

I was doing research for an academic paper I am soon publishing.
Most providers with NBA policies have them because of a perceived notion that all black men are pimps, thugs or are rough with the girls. Originally Posted by davidfree986

He said it was a PERCEIVED notion the ladies have. He didn't say it was TRUE that they are all pimps, thugs, rough, etc.

And it is undoubtedly true that providers with NBA policies THINK it is true.
