Honest Question

For me it's all about the connotation of a term. Personally I prefer hooker, escort, companion or even whore, but I am not typical in my desires or attitudes. Prostitute is a mouthful for one, is way overused on cop shows for two, and it at least for me, is more indicative of a street walker than a moderately priced, moderately classy escort such as myself.

But you can call me whatever you like for the right price. Ha.
What I have come to find is that a lot of people are just envious of us. It makes some men sick to death that they cant be paid to do the thing that they are so driven and wired to do. But what some of those men forget is that we are wired differently, so it's not exactly the same. I'll gladly take the social stigma over having some shit job that I hate. Then pay other people to raise my children I never get to see, so I can go to work at that shit job to be tired and disgruntled and have no time for my children. Oh, plus I'd probably have to be on some government program for food.

People say we are not contributing members of society, but fuck that noise. We put our money back into our communities, our local economy, less likely to sponge off the government etc etc.

And again if you are a smart hooker you will pay taxes.

Okay. Done. Now. Yay prostitutes!!!

Lol geeze sorry ladies but ur hookers.

We don't all get pissed. I may be a Hooker but im also many other things like a mom , great friend, etc etc.

Buut what I personally find more hilarious is that alot of guys will call us hookers but flip out like cry babies if someone calls them a trick.

One of my favorite clients ever proudly called himself a trick our first meeting. never met another client who felt the same lol.

A "Hoogar" is special. She is someone guys want to see and develop somewhat of a relationship with.

A "Hooker" is mostly in it for the money...like Claire says...shes wants to be a Hooker.

Looks like 2015 is going to be a lot like 2014 here! Originally Posted by Toyz

Yeah they are at first called "wife".
With all due respect, I think what you said is bullshit. Do you think that your customers want a "sensual escape amid the stress of daily life" I think they just want to jerk off, pay less, and not have a full intercourse. Originally Posted by fbsm07

I have had clients from years ago contact me just to mention how much I helped with their low self-esteem, erectile dysfunction, or overall confidence in interacting with a woman. It is so gratifying. We do help people.

it's a fairly common occurrence in language. When a term gets ridden with negative connotations, people tend to re-brand, if you will. Changing the name doesn't have anything to do with changing any essential function. I don't think any woman on here has an issue with the fact that they have sex for money. Re-naming tends to work more obliquely. I believe the process of re-naming occurs to counter the surrounding connotations, when they are negative and not necessarily even connected to the definition/function of said term.

I personally don't care. It's not the word that really matters to me; it's how its used. Words are arbitrary, but intent is not. Originally Posted by chelseabean

It has such a negative ring to it. And it shouldn't be that way. It's 2015 almost. Everyone still hates whores and that is what is upsetting to me. They think we are all drug addicted, alcoholic dysfunctional victims or don't contribute to society.

In all honesty, it's kind of empowering. You work part-time hours for anywhere from 40k to 100k. You get to spend more time with your kids as you are not off working 5 jobs and never around to raise them. If you are smart and yes some prostitutes are smart. It allows a pathway to the American dream.

Then there are those who hate us for that too! Being a hooker is so hard!! Sigh. Originally Posted by Jane Doe

I don't hate whores, I love them! I'm not looking for a sensual release amongst my stress filled day because I'm not stressed and I like to bang strange tail in scandalous encounters. I love sluts and prostitutes and the term fbsm makes me yawn.

Although a lot of whores and sluts are broken or dysfunctional, I don't think they are all that way. Just a lot of them.

I'm definitely a man whore, trick and a mark and I own that shit. It's fun to me as it is to some of the nymphos on here.

In my eyes anyone who accepts money for sexual services is all of the above mentioned titles. It's funny to see ladies get bent over that. Respect to PB for being honest that she doesn't like it because it might be true. The truth cuts the deepest. The ladies who freak out are the ones who a) have a highly critical society driven opinion of those terms and b) have deluded themselves into believing what they do is special or different. I think it's hot when a woman can own that shit and be a good slut.

Jax, I agree about the broad strokes. I was just trying to drive the point home. And it is funny to see any guy that participate s in p4p, turn around and slam a prostitute.

In a perfect world, I don't think anyone should have to give Uncle Sam anything, but if you want to have things later in life, it's probably smart to pay some taxes.

I get bent out of shape, because good mother's lose their children over being a sex worker when they are otherwise good people/parents. Think Salem Witch trials. I know some of you other ladies feel me. I know it is our choice, BUT it pisses me off that other people beat their kids, do drugs, do horrible things and have "normal" jobs and they go on unaffected. Ehhh. Anyway. It'd be nice to be able to come out of the closet and say yeah, I'm a mom and a sex worker and get the same respect the lady that works at the receptionist job does that goes home and sleeps with dudes for free and drinks every night.

I'm making another broad stroke here. But shit like that really irks me. And as far as providers being broken. I'd agree. A lot of us are broken, so are many of you guys who patronize us. Hell, so are most people, just in different ways.
Some people function better and they are still sociopaths and whatnot. Doesn't mean they are any less fucked up on the inside.

Okay. Time for happy thoughts!!!

I don't know anyone that is making 50-100k by working 5 jobs? Poor people work 5 jobs. I dont think the middle class is hateful or envious that you can earn that range being a provider nor would trade their white collar jobs that pay 60-100k for that profession.
I prefer pet names such as "slutcake, tart, or harlet." I have never really been directly referred to as a prostitute before, but why should that be offensive? Call a spade a spade. I have most certainly been called worse things by so's than "prostitute." If nothing else, that label sounds so sterile to me. Companion, girlfriend, lover, courtesan, or even call girl have a much sexier ring to it.
