Pictures???

Ok I'm new to the board... Hi Yall and I hope this is the right place to ask this question. Me and Kim are looking up places to get professional pics done and I was wondering are pro pics better or do you gents prefer the the do it yourself phone or camers pics? Originally Posted by Kerrie Devine

As to the photoshop question, yes, you can edit them to death, but I wont do that in "most" cases. In the shots of Cameron, all I did was color saturation, higher contrast, and I think she had (1) pimple I removed. It doesnt matter if its a dating site, eccie, or real world, I for one want the photo and the person I meet to look the same. Now I might see a photo and think she looks more "rested" in the pic than she does when we have coffee, but hey we all have better days than others dont we?

While pictures not being representative can be the result of overenthusiastic photoshopping, it can also be a problem of the way the provider approaches the shoot vs a session. If a girl shows up to shoot with a brand new set from Victoria's Secret, does extra special makeup, spends and hour getting her hair done right and goes in to a shoot with a smile, then that won't be the same thing if she shows up for a session with her hair up, minimal makeup, in shorts and a T-shirt and pissed off about her boyfriend. Mind you, there are plenty of girls that don't need much makeup and can rock the shorts and T-shirt look, but it isn't really about amateur vs pro, but more what gets put in to the shoot vs what gets put in to the session. If a girl has stunning showcase shots and you open the door and she's stunning, then that's all that matters.

My preference on photoshop is to typically do a little skin softening, remove any blemishes that would normally not be there, then maybe any "discretionary" requests for privacy concerns. I prefer to do as much as possible in the camera, which probably relates to starting with film.

I think both self done photos AND professional photos have their place. they can show 2 different sides to you. As a professional photographer having shot with providers for 5 years now, AND as a hobbiest, when it comes to making a decision, photos play an important part.. they should not only show your true looks, but they should be a window to your personality. Are you playful/fun, sultry/seductive, or glamourous/high class sexy? A picture is worth a thousand words, and in the case of this business possibly thousands of $$ SO I say do both.. get some really hot professional photos done by a good professional, AND keep some of those naughty bathroom mirror shots in there.. they're fun.

If you do decide to go the professional route, I hope you will keep me in mind to shoot for you.. I'd love to discuss the options with you.

Would it be OK if they didnt wear anything at all? And maybe a shot in the tub? Just sayin......

I love to wear make up and love to wear black, but that is not enough to hide my sins because I love showing you those too! Not to mention how much fun it is hehehe!! But the tub shots sound pretty fun too! Ohhh Kerrie where you at let's take a bubble bath!! (whose coming with the camera) lol

BTw who likes Kerrie new pics? I took them today not bad for a cell phone I think anyway.

I love professional photo shoots, but sometimes seeing yourself while taking a picture captures who
you are better than a photographer - see my avatar and my signature, all taken by me with only my
face blurred and my name added! Once I get all my new photos blurred, I will add them to my Showcase!

Yeah, he does good work, most of it in the camera. I got to sit in on a girl's shoot with him once.
