Pimp'N at Occupy America Rallies

Most foreigners prefer leadership in America that does not put the interests of America first, shared misery is the creed of socialism after all. Originally Posted by Iaintliein

The interests of America as a country might be as diverse as the people living in it.

Your point is valid but I think he is just using this to make the point that if something simialar had happened at a tea party rally it would have been headline news on every network while this is basically ignored. As you have pointed out it should be ignored but I would have liked to see equal outrage over bogus racist allegations against Tea Party supporters. Originally Posted by Laz

(Outrage- noun: an act of wanton cruelty or violence; any gross violation of law or decency.
2. anything that strongly offends, insults, or affronts the feelings.
verb: to offend grossly (feelings, decency, human dignity, etc))

I remember the video of Bush's State of the Union Address from realclearpolitics that claimed "boos" and "heckling". Lots of "No"s (there were no "oo" sounds and lots of "O" sounds) and grumbling but no one tried to talk over him or call him names and he didn't have to raise his voice.

Teabaggers probably aren’t too big (publicly) on ECCIE type entertainment. Many conservatives claim to own the moral high ground even though there is no evidence to prove that. An example of that would be the lists of the most corrupt members of Congress, the numbers of both parties to resign, etc.
My point is the glass house theory. It’s news when a runaway or young drug user gets pimped out. It’s bigger news when the occupants of a glass house get caught doing the same.
IE, there are many, many pedophiles. That’s news. If that pedophile is a Catholic Priest, that’s much bigger news.

Besides, how many teapartiers are teenagers? Do you think that none of the tea party attendees utilize the services of providers? When you take the word “teenager” out of the headline, it doesn’t mean much.

I present to you; the Bonus Marchers of 1930. Nearly 50,000 ex-soldiers and their families descended upon Washington DC to lobby for an early release of bonus funds promised in 1924 for World War I soldiers. For six months they camped across the street from the White House where Herbert Hoover could see them. They did not allow poor behavior, they punished it. They set up their tents in neat rows with streets and side streets. They set up committees to oversee the cooking, the toliets, and the law. They were respectful to the police and to passing citizens. They had dignity and the empathy of the American people. The OWS could learn a real lesson of life in the Bonus Marchers but it seems they don't teach in history classes anymore.

I saw a video the other day where an organizer for OWS stood up and told his people to stop pissing in the street and stop crapping in the park. I don't think this was ever necessary with the Tea Party. Tell me if I'm wrong. Originally Posted by JD Barleycorn

Was the sign extreme - yes, tacky - yes, inappropriate - yes, racist - no. That sign would have been used regardless of the race of the person whose policies they felt were wrong. I accept valid criticism for some of the things that have occured. Where I get disgusted is the racist accusations that occur whenever you disagree with the policies this president proposes. Generalizations are what make those 2 irrelevant. Unsupported generalizations are not true which makes them basically lies.

It's somewhat entertaining, but entirely useless to point out the extreme leftist agenda of OWS and the "mainstream" media that covers it. A few "jouralists" have actually lost their jobs after their open advocacy of the story they were supposedly covering as "impartial observers" was documented.
Who? What jobs? Any specifics?
The difference between the OWS and TEA movements are night and day.Duh! Any truly impartial observer could see that and decide accordingly. But no observer who bases his/her decision on the "media" will ever get that chance. Any truly impartial observer would see it is inevitable there will be comparisons. Since there is media that equates the current administration with communists is it surprising that there is media that equates the OWS and baggers? Again, how about some proof? I know they're not the same based on what I see on CNN. Who says they are the same? If you can't or won't name your sources, what credibility do you have? Originally Posted by Iaintliein

her mugshot pic is priceless

she knows her ass is in the burner.

on topic though, protest is this nation and any other nation's oldest facilitator of change FOR the people. They're not harming me and they think they're fighting for everyone's well being. Can't hate them.. unless they're squatting in your front yard.

They have a right to protest, and I have the right to think they're idiots. But I would oppose any attempt to shut them down, unless they are trespassing on private property. Otherwise, go ahead. Protest. I may want to protest something else someday.
