I use Bulleit and Templeton Ryes for my Manhattans. Use Antica Vermouth and finish with a Luxardo cherry. Originally Posted by TexKI don't like Bulleit's rye whiskey, but the rest is a recipe for an outstanding Manhattan!
Did a blind tasting of Pappy 20YO, Pappy 12YO, Blanton's. Medley Brother's ($20 a bottle) and Old Medley (also about $20). The last two held their own against what I consider the best bourbons on the market. Originally Posted by Kwtd2Price often has little to do with quality when it comes to wine and spirits.
great informative thread. never understood why bourbon isnt imbibed neat like all great foreign whiskeys are? I dont like mixed drinks/cocktails so avoided bourbon thus far. are there any neat sipping brands I can start on? Originally Posted by darkwaderLots of people drink Bourbon neat.
