Let's welcome a new moderator - Namssa

I respect anyone who's willing to devote time to moderate this board. I did it for awhile on ASPD and it can be incredibly time-consuming.

But at the same time, there were moderators on ASPD who, in my view, didn't have the right temperment to moderate. Originally Posted by ShysterJon

But hopefully any problems are self-correcting. It's in the owners' self interest to monitor and as needed either provide corrective guidance or "fire" those who turn out to be poorly suited for the job. (If you have an absentee owner and power struggles among the staff, though . . . .) There are a lot more ex-mods than current mods (or dead mods).

And at the end of the day, even if the mods do a mediocre or poor job, it's not that big a deal. This is just a SJMB.

Namssa, congratulations and condolences.

Okay, C-man. I know SHMB. So what's SJMB?

Namssa, thanks for volunteering. I am not very active on Eccie like I was on ASPD (as I am now single and don't hobby much) but I appreciated your work on ASPD and this board is lucky to have you as a Mod.
