Talk about BFE..... You wont get anyone from Dallas to drive out there.

They say on their menu Thurber is population 5.

So who all go there to eat then?

I reckon most of those 5 people work at the restaurant.

Ozona does have a good one.
Somewhat closer than Thurber is Jonathon's Diner at 1619 North Beckley in Oak Cliff (1/2 mile south of I-30). They serve a mammoth CFS that you can cut with a fork, as well as good fried chicken, waffles, and burgers. Their "Nooner Burger" is large enough for two to share before going somewhere for a more private nooner.

In those pics, you can't tell anything about the meat, but the breading looks mediocre and the gravy looks absolutely horrible. Like it came out of a jar. Now photos don't always tell the tale properly, but I'm not driving out there unless a few more people say it's worth it.

^^^ I have an issue with the fact that they use prepackaged butter.

For me, it's not a dealbreaker, and it certainly doesn't impact my opinion of the CFS.

Pappadeaux has the best real butter.

Oh I can fill up just eating 5=6 things of that butter with some of their hot fresh warm bread.
