Negotiating in this line of work should always be welcomed. Why? you ask. Unlike a product in the store, that product will be there the next day if you wait a day to purchase it. Unlike time and day or many other circumstances. For instance you have a Hotel reservation and cancel the last minute that product and time is lost. This is why hotel rates vary hugely by supply and demand during that period. Same thing with a provider. If she has the time and it's avail on her schedule last minute or she has had a cancellation if might be in her interest to negotiate off a percentage. This works out for both parties. Sorry Isabella, you should not be offended by negotiation all you have to say is "No" Have a nice day. There is only a human aspect component if you take the negotiations personally! At the very least, if a provider doesn’t like the negotiating aspect of the business, she had better get used to it, because EVERY provider is going to have a client try to negotiate a rate with her on occasion. There probably isn’t one guy that is very active in the hobby that hasn’t had a provider offer him a better rate for his business. I’ve called providers to check out their unadvertised rates, and when they quote me a price, it may have been more than I wanted to spend with that particular provider. On a number of occasions I have said, “Thank you, but that’s a little more than I wanted to spend.” Or, in some cases, I have said, “Well, I appreciate the information, but I may look around a little more before I make a decision.” This is often followed by the provider saying, “Well, how much were you looking to spend, Baby?” Or, something to that effect. As long as you have a number of providers so eager to negotiate, you are going to have a lot of bargain shoppers out there. It’s just part of the industry you are going to have to get used to. What makes a woman happy is getting the rate she sets. The happier the woman, the better the service. Unless you're slightly masochistic and like knowing that you're breaking women a little at a time. Originally Posted by Tiffani JamesonI thought business was about making the consumer happy. Like I said in earlier posts, I never negotiate. If thier rate doesn't appeal to me, I simply move on. But, if you are in this business, get used to it, it's gonna happen. Originally Posted by GymRatOf all the comments posted, this is the one I agree with the most.
