You really are clueless aren't you. Try to do a little research. This was not a real embassy, it was just a front for covert CIA operations in the area. There was just enough staff and facilities to make it appear as an embassy. It did not have all the security arrangements of a normal embassy. So the reason why these people died is because this was a "covert CIA" operation overseen by a U.S. Ambassador, so there was no protection for the "staff" assigned to the facility, including the Ambassador, so that it's status as a "covert CIA" operation would not be discovered .. and having it protected like an Embassy would have alerted those watching it that it was not really an Embassy, but a "covert CIA" operations base.
