I've given up on MMO's, but have been an on and off board game geek for a while. I've got some of the games mentioned here, including Chez Geek and SuperMunchkin. If you like those, one that is light and fun, and customizable, is Zombies!!!!! However, I'm a bit more of a fan of strategy games like Catan and Ticket to Ride.

I've also got Pandemic, which is one of the best co-op board games I've played. I've played enough to where it's gotten a little bit predictable for me, but haven't played it since getting the expansion, which adds in a lot of neat stuff, like the option of having someone playing as a bioterrorist.
There's actually a second expansion for Pandemic out now too, but I haven't bought it yet.

Munchkin is super fun, the only problem I've run into is that it's gotten to be that I have so many cards for the base set, that it's hard to shuffle them all up very efficiently.
