Glad you made it ,my Doc always tells me most peoples first heart attack is their last because it takes them. I am sure they will put you on a diet and exercise program just do it . My family a lot of them die early usually bad lifestyle so genetics? some for sure . My not add a day to your life my add many years. At 39 you are still very young Best of luck to you.
If you're single, get married.

Studies have shown that never married men are 3 times as likely to die from cardiovascular disease than married men. Originally Posted by cabletex7

I am sure your doctor will have test run like EKG, EEG, and Nuclear Stress Test to determine your heart condition before you start an exercise program to determine your Max. Heart Rate per Minute and duration. Get a good continuous heart rate monitor with chest strap sensor.I have a good book I can recommend that is written by a Physician that cover diet plan and supplements needed for these and similar issues. PM if needed.
I have read about some issues with cholesterol meds and some good natural alternatives I have taken with good results is: Fish Oil, Garlic, Niacin and Red Yeast Rice and these can also help with your blood pressure and with blood glucose numbers. There is more but this already long enough.

I have a buddy that probably has as close to zero body fat, exercises regularly, rock climber, all that stuff and he had a heart attack. Bad genes and maybe some poor food choices.

The absolutely best thing you can do is see your doctor on a regular basis and do what the doctor tells you. Listening to a bunch of whoremongers on a SHmB will do little to improve your health. Each individual is different from the next and what is best for them could be what kills you.

The best thing is that the practice of medicine has improved dramatically in the past 50 years and they can fix things they never could fix before. Even so, there are two types of cardiologists, the ones that want to cut you open and fix what is wrong and the ones that want to treat you with drugs. Talk to your doctor and tell him the truth and follow the doctors advice and if you think you need a second opinion, get it.

So to come here and offer good advice from people with good experiences and offering there knowledge from the best Cardiologist in the country. Again I have information and books from the leaders in this field we are talking about. You think we are don't have any knowledge or anything to contribute. How about you just go do whatever you know about. I assume you think we are like what? How about you go gobble on your own Eggo! For your information I have a very healthy BMI. Healthy diet, Exercise 6 days a week. Had issues but no more! I know what I am talking about. No Meds and no supplements. I may not be the norm here but ask the women I have seen and they can confirm.

You mean before you edited your post from "how about you just STFU" to "how about you just go do whatever you know about"? For saving your ass...your welcome...don't say I never did anything for you...

P.S.-If you had any nuts, you'd have left it and took your points like a man instead of pussing out...

P.P.S.-You do know that every edit we make goes into a cache that can be recalled by any moderator...right?

If I edited anything that was because of my own accord. No one brought anything to my attention. If I wrote something and I did not personally like what I said then I have the right to correct it. I do not go about to insult or offend anybody here per se.
