BBW and rates

ive read this post and decided to put my 2 cents in ive gotten alot of what the other bbws get you shouldnt charge that much you arent worth that much why wont you take half that etc. it gets a bit much when people dont think we are worth the same as the skinny model types. its like i think im doing the same job they are doing if not better why shouldnt i get the same amount and or same work??

I'm not forced to have lower rates being BBW or not. I'm an independent worker and will charge what I want regardless of my body type. If anything I've been thinking of a little raise.

Yes I have gotten that before. One guy told me I shouldn't even be asking for anything because I am too ugly and fat. I have changed my rates and it hasn't been going well. Direct your marketing/advertising to the men that actually want you and women like you. I think this is why I rarely get gripes about my rates let alone about them being too much for being a BBW. I make clear in a fairly nice way I think in my ads that basically if i'm not your ideal physical type (or one that he likes) then there's no point in even reading the rest of the ad let alone contacting me.

Lulls in business for many are inevitable but revamping your site, new pics (pro wouldn't hurt) etc always helps. BBW is a niche market and that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

I had to chime in on this. I'm 5 ft tall a size 10 petite, yes petite doe's not mean skinny it refer's to height. I consider myself a Bbw, other's may not. Confidence is not body image, it is a state of mind. If you are a Bbw be proud.

I bet not one guy who claims he could pick me up (not literally) in bar for free so why pay for it...couldn't. Why? Because your not my fucking type either. Thats the gayest shit ive ever heard. BBW's have choices and types just like any other woman. Its absurd to think we don't. If you don't like BBW's great. I wouldn't want to be someone's last resort or whatever anyway. Be yourself and be proud of who you are. That's what attracts men. My clients are not all strictly BBW seekers. A lot has to do with my age range, beauty, skills, service and personality. Those are facts. I do quite well and turn more away than I accept. Yep, a fat chick that turns clients away. Who would of thought? Lol. Most providers I call for ref's look nothing like me. I get refs from spinners, etc,. all the time.

I'm in the mood to answer honestly, so please take my answer as it is intended.

First, I'll state that I'm absolutely 100% supportive of people being exactly who they want to be. If you rock a size 12 with confidence and sass and you are happy that way, more power to you, I'm extremely happy for you.

However, surprisingly I will PARTLY agree with Wakeup on this one. There IS a standard of beauty in America, and it tends to be on the skinny side. That is not at all to say that there aren't men who absolutely are jaw-dropped-slobbering-googly-eyed head over heels for a curvy woman. And I disagree with Wakeup that it comes from insecurity. People are attracted to different things. Some guys truly dig a bigger woman.

The "BBW having to be priced too low" problem is simply a supply/demand problem. The majority of our country is overweight. The standard of beauty is thin. Therefore, there will be more clients looking for small women, but more big women on the market. The client pool is somewhat smaller, and the competition is somewhat higher. It's the same reason why I can't go to Miami and book as many appointments as I'm used to practically anywhere else. Miami attracts young, skinny women. They are a dime a dozen there. So prices are extremely low, even for the girls who represent the majority attraction.

If you want to remain a bigger sized woman AND get lots of business at a decent or premium rate, you WILL have to set yourself apart somehow. Offer services no one else does. Offer the best IOP anyone has ever experienced. Offer themed dates. I don't know. Something that sets you apart. You will get business.

If you're not willing to do that, then you're going to remain in a market that has lots and lots of competition, and you'll be buried in the noise.

Your other option is to lose weight, if that is something that YOU would like to do. Your client base will expand, and you'll be able to get out of the bell curve.

Just my thoughts, and probably worth what you paid for them. They are not at all intended to be judgmental, just honest.

Thank you! And I thought it was a polite insult Lol. And yes I am young but I have 3 years experience. I started when I was young and don't worry I was never forced to do anything. All done by my choice and have always been independent.

Summarizing:

* Update your showcase with professional/sexy pictures

* Find a niche market, distinguish yourself from the other hundred plus girls in your area. Anything that will make you stand out as an unique/hard to find companion

* Charge what YOU want to charge and adjust as you feel is right for YOU, not for others. There will always be someone trying to muscle you for a cheaper rate

* Be confident about who you are and own it

And my own personal advice: if you are not there yet in the confidence department, FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT! Act confident and you will start "buying" into it and so will others. Literally.

I think most things have been said. Like everything in the hobby, there is a market for just about any kind of lady. I would say that the market for BBWs is probably smaller than the market for spinners. One just has to find the price point they are comfortable with. It also comes down to marketing. Sure you may not look like Kate Upton, but you can accentuate other aspects about yourself and highlight those to clients. I don't think expanding services or offering more than what other girls offer is a smart strategy. For the most part, all services have been pretty much standardized in the hobby. There really are only 2 services (Greek and BBFS), and I bet 95% of all girls wouldn't go either route just to attract more clients. As one person said, it is about differentiating yourself from the competition in terms of personality, passion, etc. One thing I will disagree with is having professional pictures done to make yourself look better. I'm NOT saying use crappy pictures. I'm saying don't let your pictures pass you off as something you are not. Some girls will strategically stage their pictures to hide flaws. This pisses off a lot guys. If you are a plus size lady, make sure your potential clients know this. Don't try and hide it.

I don't try to hide the fact that I am a BBW. I take professional pics...but I can say that none of my photos have been Photoshopped in any way. I don't like the way airbrushed pics look and I've seen some Photoshop epic fails that make me shake my head.
