best fried chicken is....

Portia's on Truman Road in KC just east of I-70. They only serve their fried chicken on Thursdays and sell out every week. If I eat the whole meal, I'm no good for work for the rest of the day and nearly pass out... Originally Posted by aztec.native.97

Also on Thursday, at Cascone's Grill (5th street; city market) gives you three bigger pieces of pan fried chicken and a smaller scoop of potatoes for $7.00 Drink and sales tax are extra. Elizabeth, one of the waitresses is pretty good looking; if you like fake titties. Two of the Italian ladies are a little fat. So, calculate the bill.

But, you can order the chicken a la carte and get just chicken for less money. I don't need the potatoes because I am watching my weight - increase.

The North End, just off the River Market on Saturday Nights only. They bring someone in just to do the Fried Chicken

He asked for some advice on how to run the city. That was nice of him, but I only had an hour for lunch, and had to get back to the office. We need to sit down for a month, or two, so that he can listen to all of my ideas about the new streetcar line and the millions of dollars needed at 18th and Vine.

Thanks baby!!!!!
Dallas - the best Chinese is Bo Lings or their sister restaurant Dragon Inn in Downtown OP on 80th Street. Also Bangkock Pavillion that JR mentioned has great fried chicken on their luncheon buffet. Jun's is a favorite Sushi place, but I prefer Nara in the Crossroads.

I will have to try Nara. I just try to avoid Lulu's in the crossroad; not a truly ethnic place when they add corn starch to the menu items. They used to have a great lunch soup selection, but they took the good soup off of the menu.

Bo Lings:
I remember the guy running the Zona location being a busboy at Plaza when he was younger.
Yes a family operation with perhaps 6 locations nowadays.

I tried Stroud's again after 15 years of eating there last. I'm like other posters here, I don't get it . The chicken was bland, dry, and overcooked for me. But I can eat KFC, Popeye's or Church's until my arteries scream!
Skip the breading and get yourself to The Peanut for wings....be sure to get 'em double dipped and cheese fries as a side. Simply amazing. Several locations, they're all good. Most people prefer the small hole in the wall location near the Plaza. I like the one in downtown OP too.
