Ok back to subject at hand or we'll all get points. Yeah I had a situation years ago at a bar I took a date on and the bartender who took our drinks was someone who I had seen. I just acted like I didn't know her and she did the same. Was a very arkward situation.

For some reason, I've had all sorts of encounters where real life crossed with my adventuring: some highlights:
Was out at a local amusement/water park with my family - saw an attendant from a MP that I'd played with a couple times who was there with her kids. A nod of the head from a distance sufficed.
Had a former co-worker/subordinate see me from her van into my car; getting a BJ from a naked lass as we were driving on the local beltway - luckily it was the one woman from that side of my life who knew a bit about my adventures (I'd treated her to a massage at my favorite MP, but sadly she didn't get a HE), so she thought it was both cool and hilarious.
Discovered that one of my stripper pals was the daughter of a woman who worked on the same section/team as my wife.
Had a former MP attendant I'd seen apply for a job where I work, in a position where I would be her supervisor - I couldn't fairly interview her so someone else did and she got the job. It was fine, but word did get out to some about the rubs to a few folks. My position was to neither confirm or deny, and it was never an issue.
Ran into another dancer pal at a local state park beach a few years after I'd last seen her. She was there with her kids, and I was there with my family. There was an opportunity to visit for a bit when my wife and kids went for a swim - was pretty low key, but cordial.
Two other dancer friends either had or had gone on to receive Masters Degrees and professional credentials such that they were able to write me letters of recommendation to help me get into grad school. Since my LoR's were part of my applications, I had to explain them away to my wife as former co-workers which was actually true (did not elaborate that the work was me acting as security for a bachelor party). Both of them are now real life long term friends. My friendship with one of them is very active and on-going, and given the official pretext for our friendship, I don't do a lot to hide it. In fact, we have a frozen pie from our church sale in our freezer at home that I have to get to her.
About two weeks ago I was out to dinner with a provider/friend and I noticed my back facing neighbor was in the bar. I don't know if he saw us, but I'm somewhat thankful that she and I weren't in any kind of touchy-feely modes that happens from time to time. Being an older gent who is also full time grad student provides a lot of plausible rationale for being out socially with young people.
Last week was very interesting. I was in my home away from home/favorite strip club talking to a dancer who is considering some limited take out. She mentioned her roommate had just started dancing and was coming on shift. Knowing that dancing can be a bit of a shock for newbies, I like to visit with them and engage in some easy-going conversation, maybe even get a dance where it's mostly massage, chatting and no real sexual energy. For her first set, I came up a couple times to tip her and say hi. I was actually on the fence about getting a dance with her when she approached me for one so I went for it. This was her 4th day dancing and was not yet comfortable in her skin, so I just focused on giving her a thorough, but not particularly sensual massage and making light conversation. The best way to give a massage in that setting is for the dancer to straddle facing you, so as she's straddling me in her thong and I'm working away on her muscle groups; we're talking and as I listen to her while looking at her face, it hits me that not only do I think I know her, but I'm pretty sure how I know her. It had been 4-6 years since I'd seen her at all regularly, so I tested my hypothesis by asking what area around the city she lived in, and she immediately mentioned the village where I/we live. I was right and knew exactly who she was - one of my daughter's good friends from middle school through most of high school, so I know her family quite well. I asked about one of her family members by name and she made the same connection. It was pretty funny and a bit surreal! As we sat there talking, I told her I thought that if any one of their old group would end up doing this it would be...and she mentioned the name of the girl I was thinking about. For such an awkward situation, she handled it quite well.
So, as far as public encounters go, I've had some pretty interesting ones:
While it's somewhat of a mixed bag, I'm mostly fortunate that my wife knows quite a bit about past adventures and knows, without being privy to a lot of specifics, that I still have some sort of sexual life outside the home. Otherwise, I think I'd be more freaked about all these encounters. While I never want to rub my wife's nose in the fact that I'm committed to having some sexual fun in my life, it would not be quite so devastating if something should come out about me. With that said, I'm very committed to preserving the privacy of those folks I interact with on the wild side.

In the very busy Washington, Dc downtown streets I seen a client, both of us were crossing the street from opposite direction and only our eyes acknowledged the recognizance. Also another time as I was stepping of the metro train a person i met a few times was stepping in. Him being in the military and in full uniform we nodded and smiled to each other. Both of the times I was surprised and I must admit my heart pounded a little faster, was very quick and discreet!
I would never approach somebody if they are in a public setting and or with other people around. And if we are in a bar/restaurant and I felt the need I would wait for a appropriate time ( by the restrooms maybe) to do so....And I would like the same approach from a gentleman to me if he recognizes me..

I see my clients out pretty regularly being in a small town. I never acknowledge them unless they initiate it. You never know who is just around the corner or on the other side of the room or at the next table. I would feel that I'm disrespecting them and putting them in danger by walking up and talking to them.
