Sassy,
I don't blame you, I blame the photographer. Girls with more curves can be sexy if the person that is taking the pictures knows what they are doing. I am not talking about hiding less desirable parts of your body or as others have suggested, tricking people into thinking you are a different woman than you are. I am talking about featuring your assets.
One of the queens of the hobby, MLG, does exactly this. She does not fret over her curves, she utilizes them and features the sexiest parts of her body:

If you can afford a professional shoot, go for it. If you can't put out the cash (it can be expensive) find a man or woman that connects with you and believes you are sexy because their eye should help the camera capture your beauty and energy. Perhaps, if you can avoid the drama that can sometimes ensue when a hobbyist becomes your photographer, you should find a gent that is an ATF and go have fun taking hundreds of photos, just to find the four or five that work best--this is the beauty of digital. What many people don't realize is that even super models have material they shoot that ends up on the cutting room floor. Since digital does not require expensive processing, takes lots of pictures. don't be afraid to delete the ones that don't work for you.
As to scenes and settings, you should pick something that accentuates who you are. You want these photos to not just show tits and ass, but rather let the creative, sexy and sassy woman that you and the people you cherish know you posess. You want to jump out at the person looking through your gallery. Usually the best ideas, as some others suggested earlier, come from things you already like to do.
It looks like there was some hijacking and backroom needling going on in this thread, but much of what Ginger and others suggested to you was honest and helpful if you read it again and focus on the wisdom rather than taking offense, especially when a third party like Ali comes in to tell you to get upset--see that for what it is: drama stirring.
I applaud your courageousness and asking for input. You did get some wonderful suggestions. Perhaps let them cool off a bit and go back and read those comments with cooler eyes and try a few of them out with a camera and a friend. I think you will be very happy down the road if you put yourself in poses and scenes that YOU find sexy, or one of your admirers find sexy. When you try to be something you aren't in a picture, it tends to show. The first key is to be relaxed, and to trust the person behind the camera to let your real beauty shine through.
Good Luck!
