Out with the old.... in with the new......

I think it's funny to see people bitching about who's posting and who's not.

The way I see it, you can either bitch about what others are doing, or you can contribute what you like and try to steer the conversation the way you want.

You can certainly try to chase people away, some people will be chased away, others won't. You won't be able to influence who comes new to the board. Attempts to influence who posts and who doesn't is largely futile and beyond any single person's influence.

I see the mix and take it as it comes. Not everything is double rainbows and unicorn farts, but there are plenty of happy posters and plenty of grouchy fucks around.

I see lots of new people starting posts, and some old timers posting again. I think it's great and entertaining.

Other things get in the way. I know I'm not by myself in that. If I thought I had anything important to add, I'd make time to do it. Folks come and go but the board still seems to be running good.

I jumped to eraps and someone had usurped my screen name. When I started here, I didn't check to see if my old one was available. It appears my old handle may be.

If so, I want to see both the rules saying I can't change my handle, as well as the Birth Certificate.

Like Marley, I like the non-drama threads. I tend not to post sometimes not because I'm afraid of being attacked, but because I know that if attacked I won't back down. There's too much real life drama. I thought the hobby was a place to escape the drama and stress. I remember feeling sorry for Still Looking. Poor guy was just trying to post reviews. I wish more new people would post but I don't see that happening until the attacks go away.

We talked about a lot of things prior to our session so don't get a big head and think we just talked about you. You were the topic for as long as it took to make that statement. And why should I care about getting brownie points? I'm paying for a session.
