When I posted this, I was unaware of any allegations of Weiner texting with a 17 yo. However, the age of consent in Texas is 17. The are several sub 18 yo states although Delaware is not one of them. Again I’m not defending Weiner. Barring criminal convictions, his constituents should decide.

I feel sorry for him in a way, but sometimes it takes shock treatment for some knuckleheads to finally get the message.
