Wise man.

Given Facebook's known penchant for privacy violations, I think any provider or hobbyist who goes there with any real-life information is asking for trouble. (I do have a Facebook account, but I only use it for political ranting, for Star Trek and The Orville fanboying, keeping up with my daughter and granddaughter, and for keeping an eye on cooking ideas and trends (mostly sous vide and Instant Pot ideas), and I've severely restricted who has access to the very little information I've given Facebook about myself.)

I've never been tempted to Twitter (I'm not a twit, in spite of what most of you probably think of me ), Instagram (a Facebook product now, so it's as suspect in my mind as Facebook is), Snapchat, or any other social media. OK if it works for you, but I strongly advise either not using any of them for hobby purposes, or if you must, making sure that all the information you give those sites have no connection with your Real Life. As a general rule I won't trust social media as far as I can throw my house.

Cheers,

Lmao

I've got to setup a hobby snapper chat. Maybe that's what I'm missing out on. Twitter has been so so. Need to follow more on it I'm guessing.
