I realized that they were steering me to the 18th hole, where the deed(s) would be done.
All I can tell you is that I was glad for a few things. One- that the sprinklers did not go on. Two that security did not make rounds (or if they did were deaf). And three that the women were into each other- otherwise I would never have been able to keep up. To this day, I cannot hit an approach shot to an 18th green without smiling and realizing that I have probably used up my luck on the 18th for a life time.

Howl, you're my new hero! That bit of reality trumps my 18th green fantasy. But given the opportunity, the grounds keeper better make sure the sprinklers are off, cause I'm going for it.
