COG - I do agree with you on teaching about cultures in school. Definitely agree, however I can already see the headlines in Fox News "School District indoctrinating your children to Islam". And what happens next is that uninformed parents will start to protest until the curriculum is changed. Originally Posted by icuminpeace

They want the government to pay for their kids to get a religious education of their choosing!

Schools are to learn academics, not about religion or morals. That's the parents job, however in America, parents have decided that parenting is too much work and expect the teachers to do their job, and when the kids turn out to be dumb, ignorant, and stupid, they blame the schools and the teachers.

COG - Sorry to tell you but the Tea Party and the Republican Party do welcome right wing christian extremists. Have you seen the bumper stickers they display on their cars? Originally Posted by icuminpeace

3-1, eh? Feel better? Absolved? HA! Never in a million years.

[QUOTE=icuminpeace;3022846]COG - You're missing the point. Sarah Palin is inciting people to harrass other people based on the bumper stickers they have. Do you think that there are no other nut jobs out there that will start pulling guns on people for their bumper stickers? You do know that a lot of the Palin followers aren't too sane as well, right?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87CPg5MB_Ec[/QU You believe there are people that will start killing people because of a bumper sticker they didn't like. And you automatically blame the tea party, which as far as I know hasn't been involved in any violence.
This is really saying something, but, you could be the biggest idiot that I've seen on this board.
Do you really think I care what you think of me? LOL! You're too funny.
These people will take our guns away faster than either party... Originally Posted by ekim008

Americans need to stop inciting these fanatics and racist ignorant f**kers.

Yes, if this keeps up you will see the people start pushing for gun control laws even more. If you don't want your guns taken away then stop inciting hate.. and hold those accountable (politicians, media, etc) for the shit they say on TV and in their public speeches.

I cum I was the one who brought up the idea of teaching the differences in religion so don't attack COG over that. There is a difference between teaching religion and teaching a course in comparative religions. Unlike a California school that had grade schoolers dressing like Muslims, talking like Muslims, praying like Muslims and taking Muslim names for a week you just give them the facts. Besides what that school did was racist as they had the children dressing like Arabs and not Indonesians (the most likely nationality for a Muslim). I guess the educators at Half Moon Bay school district think that all Muslims are Arab and all Arabs are Muslim. Racist liberals.

Pretty disgusting democrat sticker.
JD, I didn't attack COG. Not my style, I was responding to the person that called me an idiot.

We can live in a free society and accept the risks, or we can live in a police state. Palin is not anywhere near the worst at this. Originally Posted by CuteOldGuy

Tell us about the continuum, Old-T. I'd be interested. How much liberty are you willing to surrender for security? Where do we draw the line?

How much privacy are you willing to give up to keep illegal imigrants out?

How much screening to be safer in travel?

What's the ballance between "stretching the truth" in advertizing and "freedom of speach"?

I'll even throw in the anthrax question I asked earlier, but I don't think you answered. If you truly believe it's all or nothing, do you really believe I should have the libery to have my own personal chem bio weapons collection? Or do I onl ylose that right after killing a couple million folks?

When one person's "liberty" puts a lot of others in danger I do beieve there need to be limits applied. I also believe it's not obvious where to place the limits.
