I think that this is a very tricky area and a fine line to walk even in the best of circumstances. More visibility would mean more accountability. But at the same time, there is a level of frankness that is compromised by having to write and look over one's shoulder at the same time.n confidental reviews are like 360 feedback in companies. On the one hand, confidentiality is just an excuse NOT to provide someone with the feedback. On the other, given the amount of drama, angst and bad feelings that would break out- between poor skills at communicating the feedback and immaturity in hearing it- removing confidentiality would mean bedlam. Given some of the drama we have seen here- I do not think Eccie is ready for that kind of open disclosure.
We have vehicles to shorten or mitigate screening in the form of Room Service and P411. Those are at least a start. As I think of it, I know that there are boards for the ladies where they can post what they want about clients without fear of reprisal. I assume that there are leaks there as well- but we do not hear much about them.
All in all, if the idea is to shorten up/ simplify references- the idea of a third party like P411 seems a much safer way to go about it- especially given that we have the occasional unfortunate breakout of bad feelings on the board.
Just another 2-cents worth...

It's a shame.... I would actually LUV to see more open communication around here!
