I had no idea there were such tight rules on this, it's no wonder some casual providers cannot post when they are available...but from the client's perspective, I find it difficult to hobby when my schedule is so tight. I cannot find the time to do the research, on who may or may not be available at the openings I have. I have only seen a civie and two SBs the last 4 months or so, because of this. I can converse with them, but cannot "talk" to eccie providers...It's no wonder that most providers are going back to older forms of marketing to drum up new business. Originally Posted by giteneny

You seem to define "casual providers" as one who is unwilling to go through the simple process of becoming a verified provider and a member of the community...

The advertising rules have not changed significantly since the board has been in existence. Recently, providers have been restricted from posting prices and services, but that is an external issue that is being addressed by board administration. Other than that, Provider Ads have always received one ad per week, and for traveling ladies, up to 5 ads IF THEY WILL BE IN THOSE CITIES during the week.

ONE Weekend Lineup ad may be posted beginning Thursday until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, and must indicate weekend availability.

I haven't seen evidence that "most providers are going back to older forms of marketing..." What is that? Billboards? Yellow pages? Backpage? Walking the street?

The last time I looked, there were about 50 showcases of AR providers on Eccie. There are 44 AR providers on P411. If you can't find them, you're not looking very hard...

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't weekly ads limited to every 7 days???

• Any member of a "Verified" usergroup may utilize our ad posting forums to post one weekly advertisement in up to 5 city forums. . . .
  
• The Weekend Lineup is our weekend availability forum, and you are welcome to post a weekend ad there each week, in addition to your post in the Provider Ad section. (A good routine to follow is to post your main Provider Ad on Mondays when we have the largest viewership of members and guests, and then post your Weekend Ad on Thursdays. This will give you the greatest exposure to the readers, both member and guest)
  
• The Weekend Lineup forums are open from Thursday 6am to Sunday 9pm. You may place your post in those forums anytime within that window. You are free to use images in your posts in both the Provider Ad forums and also The Weekend Lineup as long as they are compliant with our public forum image guidelines.
  
• Some of our Metro Locations have Provider Ad Subdivisions. (ex. Dallas/Fort Worth, 5 NE Texas Subdivisions, etc) You may post your weekly ad in as many subdivisions you would like within your 5 city allotment for the week…..however, you must be advertising availability for the geographic location you are advertising in….whether you will be traveling there from another city, have an incall in that town, or provide outcall appts to that area.. . .

I didn't start this to start ish but I had got points for not waiting 7 days when I was out of state. I had always thought new week new palate but its not if you posted on wed of last week u must wait till wed of next week. Sunday doesn't make a new week. I will admit it is not clearly explained and most likely not clearly administered, Syd. Like many discussions that crop up, it's kind of like dealing with the Wild Wild West.

Sydney...I've been reading this thread and since you travel to an area I moderate I thought I would chime in. I, too, had problems with the whole 1 ad per week thing. When does it start? Is it every 7 days or what? Do I have to go back and start counting days or the hour it was posted? It was driving me crazy!
So, just so you and your fellow ladies who travel to NWLA will know: My week begins on Sunday. You post more that once in that week and we have a situation. That's not to say you can't post again in the Weekend Ads. Hell, I'll even spot you seasoned VP's a Welcome section post if it's your first visit here.

BTW...all of you lovely AR ladies are most welcome to our area. Please let me know if I can assist you.

Thanks for the clarification of how you make it work in NWLA. You know you're willing to venture North anytime you want. We're getting a better handle on things here now and I believe your way is much simpler than the implied rolling 7. I have other things I'd rather count than the days between a provider's ads.

It's all confusing. Lol. Too many rules.
