As I understand it, the testimony that Romney offered in the divorce filing was that a large block of Staples stock --then owned by Bain -- was almost worthless at the time of a divorce. Turns out, at the same time that he was giving that testimony on behalf of a Bain partner, there was a deal on the table that valued the stock at a high price, and that Romney knew of that deal, thereby making his testimony perjury.

Probably too complicated to catch the attention of the average voter, but it might help with a few folks who pay close attention to the news and are truly undecided. Of course, the fact that 1) it's being brought out by a third party; and 2) it's being brought out at the last minute makes you wonder. If it was really as good as it sounds, it would have been brought out earlier and by a more reliable surrogate, preferably in the media.
