Melanie-you are not rude whatsoever. .enjoy your time off at the salon.. going for a pedi myself this afternoon
I am also a business person and really don't see much of a correlation between the hobby world and the REAL business world, on either the buying or selling side. I don't hobby that much anymore, but when I did I always built NSNC into my expectations and just wrote the experience off as part of dealing with The Hobby. I didn't take it personally, and I booked sessions nearby when possible, so that my afternoon would not be blown. Posting about it is a waste of time - it's never going to change.
I had a one of the most respected and slobbered-over providers cancel me 25 minutes before our session recently, with a one-sentence text and zero follow up afterward. C'est la vie.
In today's communication enabled society there is almost no reason to not be able to drop someone a "sorry can't make it".
Email, PM, text message etc. it's all easily accessible.
If a lady thinks she's so special that I should chase her down in an attempt to make another appointment, after ditching me, then she has a serious attitude problem to begin with.
