Don't go buying expenisive electric trimmers and shit, My secret is now outta the bag. Go to Macy's or Dillard's and go find the Clinique counter and ask the asssociate for these two Men's products: Post-Shave Healer and M Lotion (also good for females,I gave an former provider some.) Apply shave healer first, let dry then M lotion. I guarantee I have no unslightly razor burn and skin is provider lovin smooth. You're all welcome!!!!! Originally Posted by randal69

Darn, wish I had read this thread earlier!

In my excitement to see my first provider I used Nair to remove my fiery read pubes. I've never shaved or done anything down there before. The irritation and rash this caused looked horrible on my pale Scottish complexion. It's just now starting to fade away after a week and a half--not to mention the burning. Oh the burning.

Needless to say, I've had to frustratingly postpone getting--broken in--to the hobby.

Let's just say, my first was a Bush on Bush meeting, no rash, no complaints.

Good luck with your next try.

I soaped myself up very well. Let it sit for a while with warm water. Brand new disposable razor. Started shaving very gently and carefully. Man, it felt really smooth, no pulling or irritation. I was thinking "I've really got the hang of this."

Then I realized I still had the little plastic cover over the end of the disposable razor.

I use a waterproof electric razor first in the shower and then do a more careful pass with a regular manual razor after.
