Weird story about his death.
He died of a drug overdose and a couple of his friends
stole his body from the LA Airport in a rented Hurst.
They then drove it out to the Joshua Tree Nat. Park
where they attempted to cremate him by pouring
gasoline all over the coffin. Police were alerted by
the huge fire. The two got away but were later
arrested. They were only fined for destroying a
coffin.

It was Parsons wish that his ashes be spread in
the Joshua Tree Park, but his body was being
flown back to Louisiana for burial.

Someone made a movie about the incident.
