Dallas Police Officer goes home to the wrong apartment, kills man inside !!

Lucas McCain's Avatar
I agree TTH. Even though she was convicted of murder, she was given a fair sentence. She shouldn't have been convicted of murder but the sentence given was appropriate for killing an innocent man in his own home. I don't care how fucking stupid she is, that's not a defense for what she did.

On a lighter note, the victim's brother was pretty cool. Of course he wanted to hug her - her stupid ass just made his family millions of dollars after all of these lawsuits will eventually be settled. I'm surprised the family's plaintiff attorneys didn't ask to hug dumb dumb as well.

Though that this was also quite interesting.

Maybe 10 years from now but definitely not right now.

Some folks are never happy and just can't be pleased no matter what, are they?

Expecting riots this weekend.
Lucas McCain's Avatar
There won't be any riots. Those few protesters are just a bunch of idiots who aren't going to do shit and need to go find a job. There is nothing to riot about because she was not even acting in the line of duty. In addition, it wasn't an all white jury. There were plenty of minorities on that jury as well as the judge. There was no racial bias in the defendant's favor. There's nothing to see here other than a dimwit found guilty once cooler heads prevail because she was given an appropriate sentence... and the victim's little brother certainly helped to deescalate things with his kind and forgiving heart.

Yep, both Lucas and Chung are spot on with their commentary on this issue. There will be some mild protests outside (a few have already started as Lucas mentioned) but mostly a flurry of online activity from cowardly anonymous posters who are all bark but no bite.

Nothing serious will happen.

It is done. The jury and judge did their jobs and were mostly African American so what are the protestors up in arms about. They are professionals who make no meaningful contribution to society. Yes she made major mistakes and is paying a price. Her life is forever ruined as was Mr Jeans. How many of us have not made such mistakes that could have had such bad consequences? Drunk drivers kill thousands each year without direct intent and get involuntary manslaughter sentences. Yes as a trained officer she should have backed out and called 911 while standing her ground. Only way out of that apartment had it been an intruder was through the front door. Bad choice, bad consequences but not a reflection of race or police hatred. She didn't have a clue he was Black. And I could care less she had sex with another officer, she after all is a 30 year old single woman who had a life outside of being an office. Shame on him for being married but let ye who is without sin cast the first stone.
His brother was remarkable and fully understands the need to forgive, love and move forward in life. Rage and anger can destroy anyone and will if you let it. No protests, no outsiders stirring the pot I Dallas, no made up fictional reason to be a scourge on society will bring Botham Jean back. The justice system worked as intended. Just because we don't all agree on the outcome doesn't mean it didn't work. No one on this site was on the jury or heard any testimony other than what our news media shared. Hope she reads her Bible the judge gave her. God Bless America

this is mostly the sentiment I am reading and hearing from the AA side of the post-sentence discourse. vicious attacks on the Judge and Botham's brother.. this is a mild characterization, much of what I'm reading is extremely vile, and frankly unfit to post here.

A retarded coward pussy to me is somebody who talks shit about him anonymously on the internet like you are doing.

Chung, what's interesting about what you posted, especially the second part, is that most black Americans are part white. Some have less white heritage and some have more but most black Americans have some percentage of white European DNA. In fact, black Americans have the most white heritage out of all the black sub-groups all over the world. Therefore it kind of makes sense that black Americans forgive white people more than black people in other parts of the world. Lots of black and white Americans hate each other but it's like two brothers fighting...they have too much in common, both in terms of culture & shared history, for them to truly give up on each other.

Blacks are upset that they were abused by the White Man as slaves in America.

Yet 97% of them can't trace lineage back to slavery.

They also forget 2 things:

1. Europeans usually bought enslaved people who were captured in endemic warfare between African states.

Some Africans had made a business out of capturing Africans from neighboring ethnic groups or war captives and selling them.

The earliest recorded cases of African Slavery goes back to around 1493 when Spain brought the first African slaves to what is today Haiti and Dominican Republic.

Remember that the first American Colony weren't established until 1607 with Jamestown.

So the American White man didn't start African slavery in the New World and what part of it will later become the United States, the European Spaniards did.

2. Slavery is still practiced in Africa today in several form on a larger scale

and it's not limited to White owning and exploiting Black,

it's mostly Black owning and exploiting Black

https://qz.com/africa/1333946/global...-in-the-world/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slaver...mporary_Africa

Then there is this recent movement by SOME Blacks wanting to rewrite history and wanting to have anything CONFEDERATE removed:

monuments, names on building and schools, etc etc.

Those Black folks claim CONFEDERATE = RACISM.

It's not!

It's History!

It's American History!

It's the Civil War.

Without the Civil War, Blacks may still be slaves today.

The Civil Rights may never have occurred if there wasn't a civil war to free Blacks in America from slavery.

Blacks will still be segregated and enslaved if the civil war never happened.

620,000 soldiers on both North and South died in the Civil War.

Only 40,000 of them were Black.

The remaining 580,000 casualties were White.

Out of that 580,000,

approximately 265,000 wore soldiers in the service of the United States:

the Union, the North.

Those 265,000 Whites died fighting Confederate troops, most of them Whites,

so it was Whitess killing White,

just so Blacks could be freed from slavery.

Those Black folks who want everything CONFEDERATE REMOVED and DELETED from history

should be grateful and not bitter about the Civil War.

Finally, most of those who served in the Union army

and fought in the civil war never seen a Black slave or a Black person before.

Yet they came together for a cause and that is to fight in a war to abolish slavery.

All the recent years talk about White Police killing Black men and about White folks killing Black folks.

Blacks forget that most Blacks who are killed each year are killed by their own people.

Violence and deaths among Black males at their own hand is on the rise.

Take Chicago for example.

Look up how many shooting deaths of Blacks at the hand of another Black occur each weekend.
That young man has a serious pair of balls. And he probably did more to ease racial tension than anyone white or black has done to date.

That said I hope he did it on his own accord and from his heart. Not because someone convinced him to do it.
