And so it begins....the democratic debate

First, it was nice to see a presidential debate in which the main goal did not seem to be demeaning the other participants.

Winners -- Warren, Booker, and possibly Klobuchar

Losers -- O'Rourke, Delaney, Ryan, Inslee

I agree with Lucas McCain. Very early in the weeding out process. A year from the Democratic convention.
Blasio: we need to take money from those have it and give to those that need it...I've heard that some where before.

Delaney: blah, blah, blah, what did he say...nothing.

Inslee: McDonald's is bad, wind farms are good. Originally Posted by the_real_Barleycorn

Be honest. You would NEVER say that there was anyone out there who could beat Trump. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

isn't the debate kind of early?

Republicans didn't start their clown show until after November 2015.

Boring.

It's the first debate. Everyone is trying to stand out. It's no big deal. It's a waste of time trying to grade a future Major League player when he is playing tee ball and everyone gets a trophy for participation. The Republicans will sound just as idiotic while debating each other... it is what it is in the game of politics.

I only care about what the last 2 still standing on both sides have to say. All of this other rhetorical participation bullshit is a moot point to me while most of these clowns on both sides are on the extreme side of the spectrum while trying to distance themselves from the pack. Weld who has declared and Kasich are the only two even mentioned in this article. I don't see Kasich as a serious threat to Trump for the nomination this go round, he was a distant third before as a sitting Governor. what makes him think .. if he gets in .. he'll do better now?

Kasich faces the same issues the Democrats do .. what is he going to attack Trump on? the "floundering" economy? huge unemployment? opposing secure borders? trade? that's mostly resolved. Is Kasich gonna claim Trump should be impeached based on the Mueller nothing burger? oh yeah .. that'll work!! not.

So who else is gonna jump in as a Republican that has any national profile? no one stands out to me.

possibly the biggest thing would be a major player running as an independent, Bloomberg perhaps? the Starfucks guy Schultz? He's mainly a democrat and as soon as he even mentioned he was thinking about a run as an independent the Democrats went nuts deriding him to keep him out.

and as well they should, an independent who is not a firm Republican puts the Democrats in a very bad position and plays right into Trump and the Republicans' hands to win reelection.

interestingly .. there is a farcebook "Starfucks" page .. it's pretty funny .. who'd they steal that logo from? The Grateful Dead??
