Bulleit or Buffalo Trace Bourbon, relatively inexpensive and good stuff. Lagavulin is my go to single malt scotch.
Recently scored bottles ofWeller antique, little Book ch.2, and Blantons .
Hardly a connoisseur but Henry McKenna is good....10 yr.
Otherwise I'll take it mixed drink/cocktail style like a Kentucky Mule or Bourbon Rickey.
Picked up a bottle of Michter's 10 year old bourbon the other day, probably overpaid but have been interested in this bottle for a while.
It's a single barrel so you know whiskey nerds are going to overrate it, but I'm happy with it. Once you get past the burn you'll probably catch a little charred wood and a little vanilla. Decent pour.
Glenfiddich (neat)
