Im not a fan of lumping people together from multiple countries with different histories, language, culture, and even religion...but it's your business and your reasons are your own.

However, I'm guessing by "Indian descent" you really mean South Asians and should probably phrase it as such or you'll eventually encounter an irritated Sri Lankan, Nepalese, or Pakistani gentleman. I'm willing to bet you couldn't tell the difference between them and the guys from various parts of India. India is a large and diverse place and the Indian subcontinent even moreso. this is so confusing to me

at least here in the states its quite difficult to point certain people based on looks to certain ethnicity until they show their and their parents passports(alas some have US PPs) or they just say it....some of my South Asian friends here just look Hispanic to me and some look Asian like Chinese/Japanese etc., above that we have the new mixed breed ...oh my god..god help these girls to identify and good luck with it...
