Obesity is an across the board problem. Although, Mack could have put things more delicately, I have to agree with a lot of what he said. There will always be a market for the bigger gals, but in an industry driven by looks, you would think a few more gals might show just a modest interest in diet and fitness.
I went to Panama City a couple of weeks ago for the first time in about five years. In my youth, I went there at least once or twice a summer. It was really fascinating to see how many young girls were already sporting a little gut. I would walk miles up and down the beach every day and would literally walk pass a thousand young women, if not more. Fit girls were very hard to come by. I'm 52 years old, and I was certainly more critical of a physique in my youth. In the early 80's there seemed to be fit gals all over the beach. Not the case anymore. It may be that even in the last 25 plus years more kids are indulging in junk food and a sedentary lifestyle.
