Will Kubiak return in 2011?

No CB in the league can cover an elite WR with 7 seconds to throw (which may be your point). They'd be throwing in the other CBs direction though which Wade could adjust for. The guy is the premiere shut down corner in the league and would immediately help our team. You seem to be writing off the defense next year no matter what. Originally Posted by gnadfly

2) The fact that no CBA is in place, so as of today we don't know when (and if) you can start signing free agents. Heck, if no CBA is in place, come the draft day you won't even be able to trade any of your players to another team for draft picks
3) The fact that your best player on defense (M. Williams) won't be a good fit for the new scheme

and from a point of view of a fan of a different team (Broncos) who has

1) Seen a lot of Wade as DC, both in Denver and San Diego. The guy is good, but he's no majician
2) Seen how painful the transition is... and our DBs prior to the change were nowhere near atrocious as Texans'.

He is a premier, shut down Corner. I would love to see him wearing a Texans uniform next season.

As it relates to the Texans switching to the 3-4 next season, I do not believe it will be much of a factor at all. As I stated earlier, the Texans need 4 DB's that can cover NFL receivers. They do not currently have that! I believe they have the personel up front, including Mario, that can do the job in either a 3-4 or a 4-3 alignment! If they are going to add to the front 7, it would help for them to pick up an additional pass rushing specialist. That would be a nice addition. The Texans focus during this off season should be defense, defense, defense!

There wiil be a lock-out, so enjoy while you can who knows when we will see anything past the current the current playoffs and SuperBowl.
The thing that bothers me is the owners and players make enough off the fans we are the ones who eventually pay whatever comes up out of the new contract.
We may not see a new season until september when the players start missing game checks.

Looks like the plan is coming together.....
