Best BBQ in Dallas

I wonder why no one mentioned Pappas (on NW Hwy)? Their BBQ is excellent (and I also like Hard8 and Sonny Bryan's a lot), the sides are better (and cheaper than most places), AND they're conveniently near a number of the AMPs. I just love BBQ and often stop by after a session.

I don't think I've ever eaten BBQ in Dallas as I'm from Fort Worth. In Fort Worth the best are certainly Angelos and Railhead. I like Angelos a bit more, but opinions are like assholes ya know...........

Best in the metro mess IMO is David's in Arlington/Pantego

In my humble opinion, here is the list of the best BBQ that I have had:

Red, Hot & Blue (Ribs)
Dickeys (chop beef sandwich)
Spring Creek BBQ (fresh hot rolls just out of the oven)
Sonny Bryan's (green bean casserole)

And a big thanks for all the great suggestions. I am now on the great BBQ hunt.

I'm sorry, I know WALDT, but any of you that are putting Dickey's, Spring Creek, or Pappa's on the list of best BBQ in DFW need to get out more.

I'll tell you my two favorite places, but before you go check them out, keep this in mind: it's just BBQ. Good BBQ is not going to be anything fancy, but if you go to either place, you will always get tender, juicy, well cooked and seasoned meat.

In Dallas: Mike Anderson's. I usually get his Monster chopped brisket baked potato. If you're a REALLY big eater, he has the same thing super-sized called Spudzilla. The potato is the size of a trencher serving plate and piled high with moist, tender, perfectly cooked brisket. Get it loaded with butter and cheese, pour a little bit of BBQ sauce on top, and you've got a delicious gut-busting meal for under $10.

In Euless: North Main BBQ is the best BBQ you'll find in all of North Texas, hands down. Ribs aren't my favorite, but this place has the best ribs I've ever had in my entire life. Go here hungry, as it's all served buffet style. Beverage choices are limited to iced tea and sweet tea.

Both places are packed during lunch, so get there outside of the normal lunch rush, or plan accordingly.
