... Here's one -- the "lockdowns" DIDN'T WORK!

Heavy co-vid deaths in NY, PA, NJ... but NOT in Florida
- where they didn't lock-down.

So Dr. Fauci was WRONG - and DeSantis was RIGHT.

IOverall, we did have more deaths per capita than other wealthy countries. But our economy suffered less. Originally Posted by Tiny

The USA and China are both more prosperous as a result.

I prefer not to benefit from slave labor and Uygher enternment camps. I'd rather pay more for my goods and services. Also, consider the supply chain disruptions we are currently experiencing. This is a result of lack of manufacturing self reliance.

When you have pieces of a supply chain moved from places like China to Thailand and Mexico because of tariffs, so that pieces of products are shipped all over the world before final assembly, you're going to have disruptions.

From farming, energy, medicine, electronics. Then, have a tariff free world. The problem is, the world truly doesn’t want free and fair competition. Trump proposed zero tariffs to the EU. They declined. Fuckem.

The USA and China were both losers from the higher tariffs they imposed on each others products. The winners were countries like Vietnam, where Chinese companies moved production to get around the tariffs. And like Brazil, which started exporting more agricultural products to China. The transportation costs are probably higher from Brazil to China. But when you have to pay a 20% or 30% tariff on U.S. soybeans, it makes more sense for a Chinese importer to buy from Brazil.
