I agree and many of them have either died by hands of males as a revenge :-). I would not put Lewinsky and Uchitel on that list, sorry :-.)) , they are not better in my impression than ordinary wives.
I would put an austrian empress Maria Teresa on that table. SHe was quite impressive, she managed to marry her daughters to influential reigns of other c0untries to manage politics, plus she was the first to have multiple lovers and to not get shunned for it (because she was too powerful) and she was the first who managed a law that people have a duty to attend schools. This is impressive :-)
Then Simone de Beauvoir of course, also multiple lovers, and a woman named "George Sand" (she took on a male`s name so she could be published as a writer)
