Prediction: THis is where the fraud will come from

Conservatives always complain about over regulation in their industries coming from the federal government. What do you think this is? This bill only makes sense if there is actually significant voter fraud going on. Republitards have been touting voter security, ie suppression, for decades now. Unfortunately for them they have not found any except in the fevered imagination of their leader, Ol’ Schitzenpants. Just because they keep claiming voter fraud doesn’t mean that it exists and this law just adds more regulation and effort needed to register and to actually vote.

Making it harder to vote is not the solution to a non existent problem. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

Voter ID might not be a burden to you but it is to some. The reason why I don’t think voter identification is necessary is because the amount of voter fraud didn’t change even after the new laws went into effect. This is a solution in need of a problem.

If anyone is interested you can read up on it here.

Since Democrats use mail-in ballots more than Republicans, Abbott was successful in signing a bill that hurt Democratic voters.

The new law does a few things: It bans 24-hour and drive-through voting, prevents officials from mailing unsolicited mail-in ballot applications, requires monthly voter roll checks, and gives more latitude to poll watchers. It also adds a requirement that voters provide their driver’s license number or the last four digits of their Social Security number when applying for a mail-in ballot and write that same number on their mail-in ballot when sending it in."

I have no problems with people being asked to prove they are the ones on the rosters.
