Mitch McConnell to states: Drop dead

Kentucky is not your wonderful Socialist states of NY, Kalifornia or Washington.

They are entitled to a different opinion

Something j66 seeks ardently to restrict to the WaPo propaganda.

Get some help - for Ur own sake! Originally Posted by oeb11

McConnell state bankruptcy remarks raise constitutional questions

Municipal finance experts say that it may be unconstitutional for Congress to allow states to declare bankruptcy, and that even if it is constitutional, it would be a bad idea.

Experts on state and local government finances say that Congress may not have the right to grant states the ability to file for bankruptcy under the Constitution. They also argued that bankruptcy wouldn’t be particularly helpful in addressing states’ coronavirus-related challenges.

“Bankruptcy is just not a viable solution to the issues state and local governments are facing,” said Michael Decker, senior vice president for federal policy at the Bond Dealers of America.

All Moscow Mitch cares about is the bank accounts of millionaires and billionaires and getting his share. His voting record and the bill’s sitting on his desk prove that.

4 One who"ignores" my posts j66 - you are well acquainted -- very well acquainted -- with the content of my posts.

And, as usual, making groundless inferences.

U might be quite happy to name Maxine Waters as Great Leader for Life - there is a little thing called a "Constitution" U DPST's have not yet gotten rid of.

Guess what , j66- U do have a solution to your hatred

Mitch McConnell isn’t a ‘stable genius,’ either

There is a tendency in the mainstream media to attribute nearly unlimited political prowess to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Certainly, his hard-line gamesmanship has worked to fill the courts (and two slots on the Supreme Court) with conservative judges. Beyond that? He failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and he routinely gets boxed about the ears by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), as she did again in achieving — with a strong assist from Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer — many (but not all) of Democrats’ aims in the coronavirus relief package passed last week. McConnell’s hard line collapsed, and then he really made a mess of things.

In rejecting the plea of governors and mayors for additional funding to make up for huge expenditures and revenue shortfalls stemming from the coronavirus, McConnell made himself a target. Suggesting states go bankrupt instead only added fuel to the fire of governors. In this case, the outrage over McConnell is bipartisan, which was entirely predictable given that senators are desperate to fund fire, police and other essential services back home. (Seriously, what could McConnell have been thinking?)

New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D) spent two days ragging on McConnell for his bankruptcy idea, challenging him to put that in a bill. In other words, he successfully called McConnell’s bluff. (“A Senate GOP aide said that McConnell is not pushing legislation to allow states to file for bankruptcy.”)

Moscow Mitch and the freedumb caucus lost that one.

But correct me if I'm wrong, I didn't see where in the latest stimulus bill where the state and local funding is.

What did Mitch lose again?
Mitch will lose in November. Even Kentucky can't be that stupid. Until then he will say anything to please his ignorant in chief of stupid. Now go drink your disinfectant like a good ignorant racist idiot
