Can one have it all?

I was just joking around with ya OHM. Isn't this about the third year that we (or I) have brought up this subject? Originally Posted by Ansley

YES
So two people that think they can have it all .... and who want the same say person. Seems one is not going to have it all.

Me thinks you are a tad modest in your 'a wee idealistic' thingy. Originally Posted by WTF

Joking aside, there is a limit to how much time and energy I have, but altogether I've been pretty happy so far in my pursuit of big, simultaneous goals. If that changes, I'll reconsider. Until then, the world is...

Even if you could "have it all" who would really want it?

It seems to me that the more you have, the more responsibility you incur... I'm just saying...

Yes, you may have it all, but by the time you realize it you've lost it.

Not sure I would want everything. I lived through a part of my life where I had a great deal and lost the most important part of what I had. It puts a new perspective on things.

If you had everything there would be little to strive for making life dull.

Like Carrie implied - lead, follow or get the fuck out of my way because I am coming through whether you like it or not.

It appears to me that some have more than 24 hours in your day...

I personally think you have to make choices in life. If not, then I guess you have it all. I want it all...I just don't have the time or talent or brains or looks, other than that I got it all!

I think some are mistaking being happy with what you have ....as having it all. To me that leaves no room for improvement.
24 hours? Here I thought we were on a 37 hour day! WTF?!

I will second what you wrote WTF... there is always room for improvement. Keep in mind, I may want it all but I have not defined what it is I want, now have I?

Like Iaintliein posted, it is relative as to what each of us wants versus what we get... right?

Consult my signature line.... unfortunately, 99.9% of us operate under that premise.

I don't think you can ever "have it all". You can be satisfied with what you have, or if not you can strive for more.
