Favorite Bar in San Antonio

Every beer venue I know of in SA serves their beers ice cold and fizzy with too much foam and in a glass that holds 16 oz. to the rim. Originally Posted by Altbier

First beer I had was the Big G at the Green King Inn in Biggleswade (sp) England. Was a wee kid when the barkeep took mercy on me

Lots of good hangouts mentioned here! Love it..

I'll give my $0.02 to Sherlocks, Bushwood (jones maltsberger), and this new little dive which is proving to be real popular near my neck of the woods... Shenanigans

I don't believe you go to The Three Legged Monkey, you are too pretty. But if you do I believe you go to the Blanco Tavern, they are both smoke houses.
What would impress me would be your appreciation of that fine pizza house next door.

i dont like gumbas they were rude and took over an hour on an order a while back. And yes i have friends that go to the three legged monkey. One of wich is very sexy bartender (she works there).
I can usually be found in Medical Center and highly recommend Highlander (good mix of crowd - a lot of medical and law students, young professionals, and established practitioners without the pretentiousness usually associated with such a place), O'Malley's (great Irish dive bar), and Nice Rack (awesome for sports and the best bar staff around).

Used to love Lyndy's. I hear they got rid of the moose head when it became Highlander.

This is not a bar but a great brunch place to take the gals (Valentine's Day is Sunday) It's The Mad Hatter and it is very eclectic and chicks love it. The reason I mention it here is that they serve their mimosas in fish bowls.

Hills & Dales, or the Flying Saucer.

For me, it's all about the beer.

i like the flying saucer when i'm in a snooty beer mood. i live in the medical center...so i enjoy all the fine bars there.

I tried Edens for the first time in Stone Oak today and I think it shows promise. They have a smoking patio which cuts down on the smoke inside. Good personal pizzas; drinks are stiff!

Thank you Dennis,
This was a good new one- Klusoz Martini Bar & Tapas Restaurant
Music and atmosphere was great for my parties demographic. Came in just as 400 people were leaving from a "Child's Fulfill Your Dream Benefit" where the tented patio as in full swing. Great Dirty Bird Martini and lot's of eye candy.
