Let's play with 2013 - a numbers game

OK, I won't play poker with you then...

(3 to the fourth + 10) * 2 = 182
10 squared + 3 to the fourth + truncate square root of 2 = 183

truncate square root of 2 .... wow, ok, I need to go back to school... why not just use 2?
Just asking, so I can learn.
10 squared + 3 to the fourth + 2 = 100 + 81 + 2 = 183 ... works as well...

summation of (20-1) - 3! = 184
square root of 2 is 1.41 which truncates to 1. Couldn't use 2 because I thought I needed a 1 and already used it for 10 squared. I was wrong. I needed a 2.

13 squared + 2 to the fourth = 185

And yes, there is such a number, but I will never be tricked into revealing it.

2 to the fourth * 10 + 3 cubed - 1 = 186
2 to the fourth * 10 + 3 cubed = 187
3 to the fifth - summation of 10 = 188
3 to the fifth - 2 to the sixth + 10 = 189
sumation of (20 - 1) = 190
10 squared * 2 - 3 squared = 191
Wow, just found checked into this thread. Can anyone play? AP Boris checking in. Hope I can add a few.
If I understand the rules correctly, you can only use the numbers once. Just a couple of corrections – I remember and loved Agent 99, but the “99” equation uses two 1s, so I offer

10 squared - 3 + 2 = 99

And reintroducing the factorial (n!), just like summation only multiplying – we need to correct “186”
(1+2)! cubed - 30 = 186

2 to the eighth – (3-1) to the sixth = 192
Summation of (20-1) + 3 = 193
10 squared * 2 - 3! = 194
3! Cubed – 20 – 1 = 195
3! Cubed – 20 = 196
10 squared * 2 -3 = 197
3 to the fifth – summation ((1+2) squared) = 198
(3!*2) squared + summation of 10 = 199
10 squared * 2 = 200
2 to the eighth – summation of 10 = 201
3! Cubed – 10 – 2 squared = 202
10 squared * 2 +3= 203
Summation (20+1) – 3 cubed = 204

Hoping to impress JustJane as well. Tried to hook up a while back but we couldn’t get our schedules to match.

99 - WOW THX missed that, agent 99 had my yes and mind on her ... THX

I had not checked the latest numbers, so THX for supplying a valid 186 (and 99)
I'll check the other new ones later...

I am starting to be very optimistic that we can do this !!!

summation (20) + 3! -1 = 205

P.S. hmmm, JustJane, I can highly recommend her :-)

all checks out in my opinion so far :-)..
except my last one .... ahhhgggrrrrr

Welcome, Boris. Your error-checking talents are most appreciated, and the more the merrier.

3 to the fifth – 2 to the fifth + 10 = 221
summation of 13 through (2 squared)! = 222
summation of 20 + 13 = 223
(3! + 1) * 2 to the seventh = 224
3 squared * (10/2) squared = 225
2 to the eighth – 30 = 226
2 to the eighth – 30 + 1 = 227
2 to the eighth – 3 cubed – 1 = 228
2 to the eighth – 3 cubed = 229
230
231
(30 - 1)*(2 cubed) = 232
3 to the fifth - 10 = 233
summation of 21 + 3 = 234
3 to the fifth - 2 cubed = 235
3 to the fifth - 2 cubed + 1 = 236
summation of 20 + 3 cubed = 237

Small typo I think: (3! + 1) * 2 to the seventh = (6+1) * 128 = 896 (so keep that in mind)
Here is my solution:
(3! + 1) * 2 to the fifth = 7 * 32 = 224

3 to the fifth - 2 squared - 1 = 238
3 to the fifth - 2 squared = 239
3 to the fifth - 2 squared + 1 = 240
3 to the fifth - 2 = 241
3 to the fifth - 1 = 242
3 to the fifth = 243
3 to the fifth + 1 = 244
3 to the fifth + 2 = 245
3 to the fifth + 2 squared - 1 = 246
3 to the fifth + 2 squared = 247
3 to the fifth + 2 squared + 1 = 248
3 to the fifth + (2+1)! = 249

One more:
(3! -1) cubed * 2 = 250
Are we on a roll now...
2 to the eight – 3! +1 = 251
2 to the eight -3-1 = 252
2 to the eight -3 = 253
2 to the eight – 3+1 = 254
2 to the eight - 1 = 255
2 to the eight = 256
2 to the eight + 1 = 257
2 to the eight + 3 - 1 = 258
2 to the eight + 3 = 259
2 to the eight + 3 + 1 = 260
fun2come's Avatar
2 to the eight + 3! - 1 = 261
2 to the eight + 3! = 262
2 to the eight + 3! + 1 = 263
2 to the eight + (3 - 1) cubed = 264
2 to the eight + (3 squared) = 265
2 to the eight + (3 squared) + 1 = 266

hmmm, I think I am stuck ... shouldn't have set up a date ... now mind is on hobbying ...

???? = 267
fun2come's Avatar
OK, time for a trick play with a new formula:

rounded ((3 to the fourth + 2 squared) * pi) = round (85 * 3.14) = 267

3 to the fifth + ((2 squared + 1) squared) = 268
