I agree with Raphael, the message is vague and I would have asked for clarification. For example, I would have said, "thanks for the free makeup. But I can't let you drive all the way to my side of town without at least paying for the room and gas." Which, I do believe he states he said.

I am trying to be as unbiased as I can. I would chaulk it up to an unfortunate misunderstanding, except for one thing: I still can't get over sending the driver to bang on the door!

ABD seemed happy to write a glowing review of a fun time with SS and she would have benefited from such.
