Speedo has never been in a live fire situation in which "the other side" has real weapons with real ammunition and want to shoot him (his admission BTW). But he wants to talk shit. Like he did about "kicking my ass all the way back to Houston"!

WTF is in that same LOUDMOUTHED GROUP! He has also threatened me! I'm still here!

IMO Bush I should have finished off the Iraqis (fuck the U.N. "resolution"). He had a good beginning of the end:

The equivocation in the messaging to Saddam by the Bush I administration resulted in the Kuwait intrusion/invasion and IMO created the necessity for the beginning of the War with Iraq that was on going all the way through the Bush II administration (contrary to WTF's bullshit).

FYI: The U.S. troops may leave, but the "contractors' won't. Don't you know some "contractors" who have been "frequent fliers" to Iraq? The ones I've known don't leave out of U.S. airports and have 3,4, and 5 passports. They don't exist.

I've also been very honest on my military service. Feel free to ask garhkal.

Bottom line. You are a lying sack of shit.

I am not sure if you really understand the whole idea of War and what's really at stake. Here's a hint it's got nothing to do with your liberties, freedom
or peace.

May be that's why you got into the military thinking you would only have to put your life on the line "because our leaders, like Trump, have made the decision that it is necessary." Did any of those paper targets you plinked at shoot back?

Because of this erasure, we're posting the entire essay below the portion we originally excerpted. Below that, you'll find a copy of the actual page from the magazine, courtesy of Bruce Koball and Boing Boing. Excerpt from "Why We Didn't Remove Saddam" by George Bush [Sr.] and Brent Scowcroft, Time (2 March 1998): While we hoped that popular revolt or coup would topple Saddam, neither the U.S. nor the countries of the region wished to see the breakup of the Iraqi state. We were concerned about the long-term balance of power at the head of the Gulf. Trying to eliminate Saddam, extending the ground war into an occupation of Iraq, would have violated our guideline about not changing objectives in midstream, engaging in "mission creep," and would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible. We had been unable to find Noriega in Panama, which we knew intimately. We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq. The coalition would instantly have collapsed, the Arabs deserting it in anger and other allies pulling out as well. Under those circumstances, furthermore, we had been self-consciously trying to set a pattern for handling aggression in the post-cold war world. Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the U.N.'s mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the U.S. could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land. It would have been a dramatically different--and perhaps barren--outcome. I've been told that the same passage appears on page 489 of Bush and Scowcroft's book, A World Transformed (Alfred A. Knopf, 1998).

.. Bush I's decision was politics and anticipation of an upcoming election....everything else is hindsight ... including WTF's bullshit based on "after the fact" information.

Rehashing the "results" based on the initial decision is almost impossible from a point of view of what it "could have been"!

FYI: The Japanese did the same post-Pearl Harbor. They didn't finish!

As for "current event" value ... a clear, concise and "to the point" message of dire consequences followed by a swift, precise, and overwhelming response will prevent others from making stupid decisions ... and miscalculating the U.S. .... A problem is for about 10 years the World has seen indecision and equivocation and one deadline after another (lines in the sand!) being ignored and "reset" ... with copious amounts of criticism and whining "at home" by the voters with the LIBERAL/ANTI-WAR media cheerleaders .... THE WORLD AND OR ALLIES quit taking us serious.

Now the CIC is being ..... well ... that's what this forum is about: the microcosm of the U.S.

There was a good reason why former North Vietnamese when to Baghdad to talk to Saddam before the Kuwait mess. They were schooling Saddam on how to beat this country. Drag it out! The weak-kneed pansies making all the noise would end it. ...

The Jane Fonda's and John Kerry's!
Give it up guys. It's oblivious Lexus has the trump complex...nobody is better or smarter than me because I say it all the time.
