Where is the appropriate place to post last minute openings due to cancellations?

That would require Admin giving you some time of "edit" privileges, you know, like a Moderator has....again, that will not happen

No, actually it would require a programmer with half a brain to change the programming of the website to allow providers to reply to their own ads without that particular forum bumping ads with replies to the top. You may not know anything about programming, but I promise you with an ounce of innovation, this is completely possible.

Okay, well ECCIE's reluctance to innovate does not change the fact that it is a completely possible and simple solution. And that is my simple suggestion, which others on the thread were requesting from me. I respect your opinion that it is unlikely to happen. However, I do think that ECCIE's lack of innovation on this front only encourages threADs as it forces providers to think of creative & backhanded ways to advertise openings, whether that be via posting a thread disguised as a different topic, posting random replies that are really meant to display an opening detailed in one's signature line, etc.

So where is the difference in editing or replying to you're thread as opposed to changing your sig line? You do know that if you change your sig line, it changes on EVERY post by you, right? There by not requiring you to reply to your own ad.

And I'm sure if you and or other girls would like to offer to pay the programmer to add this other function, They would be more than happy to look into it.

Otherwise the option above more than serves the purpose you're suggesting. No need to be creative when the solution is plainly there.

Post a threAD every time...bashing it/you into the ground gives me something to do when I'm bored...

If you don't like Eccie don't use it.
I like that idea, and don't remember there ever being one on the Houston thread as was mentioned. I am sure there probably was. Perhaps a last minute bargain to fill an otherwise empty time slot.... kind of like the Kayak of the hobby world.
