Speedracer, you are a numbers guy. I get that. I'm more of a feeling person ( sorta like Trump) and I can tell you the feeling I'm getting is not good for the dems. Just like in 2016 - I just knew when Trump came down that elevator he was the winner. Many people did not like him but they voted for him - the secret Trump voter - of which there are many- is what is going to carry the day.
Oh btw - I still think Hillary is gonna worm her way into the presidential race.

Prior to the 2018 mid-terms, most Trump supporters on this forum predicted Republicans would hold the House and possibly even increase their majority. The solid economy would win voters over. Didn't come close to working out that way. As Democrats were overconfident in 2016, Republicans were overconfident in 2018. I am not confident at this time that a Democrat, whoever the POTUS candidate turns out to be, will win in 2020. But I think Republicans should temper their enthusiasm for a Trump victory in 2020. The warning signs are there.
Trump still has a long time to truly fulfill at least one of his major campaign promises. No repeal/replace of Obamacare. No wall. Renegotiation of NAFTA that brought little advantage to the U.S. Tax reform that he promised would favor the middle class but did not do so.
