"I think I am too, didn't know I was a lesbian," she said as she turned back to her Latin Dictionary...

Let me stir this back up! I have been listening to Glenn Beck for years. Long before he voiced a serious opinion on current events. Never has there been a day where I can describe him how I hear so many others describe him.

I find it disturbing that in the United States of all places, we tear down someone for having an opinion that is different from what we may think. He's not saying over throw the government or I hate the President. He's voicing his first amendment rights...isn't that a huge part of what makes us great? I really could care less if you like him or not, thats not the point. Let's use the freedoms we have while we still have them. Let's challenge people's facts, not opinions. Let's educate each other with truth and not lies. Let's save fantasy for the hobby world.

I don't believe I called you anything acrimoniously, merely posting a quote from Hemingway. Excuse my flippancy. As my father was fond of saying, 'never set your expectations high, then you won't be disappointed."
I don't have any facts to dispute hyperbole regurgitated by Fox media, just my personal experiences. In my work I come across hundreds of hard working, tax paying honest Americans without insurance or adequate insurance. A few I know are personally dying with cancer, unable to afford treatment. A close friend served his country but thanks to a loop hole is ineligible for full benefits. He owns a business and without adequate health care recently had to go to Mexico for a procedure that would have cost 13k here. He'll probably still lose his eyesight because he can't afford the full treatment. Imagine that, Americans going to a borderline third world country for health care. Out of thousands of people I encounter, I can honestly say 1/3 lack adequate insurance or any insurance at all. I decided to exit the media bubble and get to know some average Americans, hence my strong opinion. Maybe I have become a bleeding heart liberal, but I feel like I have had a mental renaissance. Whether it's now or 2014, we need to take care of our own. I shall acquiesce at this point and get back to hobbying and take care of a few needy providers I know.

All my expectations are fulfilled. If you're looking to dispute my facts on healthcare, calling me a bitch isn't an intellectual rebuttal. Even when it's done in Latin.

Sa artman,

I personally care about every person in a bad situation that needs medical help. If I had a dollar for every bar-b-que plate or raffle ticket I bought because someone needed a surgury or their house burned down and they didnt have adequate insurance, I'd be a full-time hobbier! It's true that there are tons of people with no health coverage or inadequate coverage. How many of those people have cable? How many eat out once or twice a week? I bet most have cell phones. I think for most people, the problem is Priority. They're priorities are in what they want, not what they need. We have Medicaid for the poor and Medicare for Seniors. There will always be horror stories of someone who fell through the cracks. They are the exception, not the rule.

And tell your buddy that the reason his surgury was gonna cost 13k here is because there tons of people in perfect health who would rather call in a $30 pizza order with their $70/mo cell phone than cook a meal. Who has time...they need to hurry up, pay $200 to get their $3500 tax refund (of which only $400 was actually taxes withheld) back in two days so they can buy the latest LED LCD tv. Looks like your buddy continues to sacrifice for his country.

Glenn Beck is a CLOWN! That said, let's go over why a person like Beck is such repulsive human being. You and I sitting on a barstool can spout all the invective we want about politics and people. Beck has a higher responsibility because he has a platform that is given to him by virtue of a FCC license. He cannot/should not hurl his bilious hatred over the public airwaves like you and I on the barstool. His promotion of hatred and bigotry can actually spur the lunatic fringe that watch/listen to his show into action that may cause harm to the innocent public. That's why he needs a filter.

Today (4/20) he said God has given him a plan. So God has given him a plan to oppose the Obama administration? When did God take up sides?
Yesterday he compared the National Council of La Raza to Nazis and equated them to "blood thirsty" drug gangs of Central America (MS 13). This is the same NCLR that is in part funded by the Ford Foundation, Walmart, UPS, Johnson & Johnson and the list goes on. The same NCLR that advocates education, health/nutrition, workforce development as well as civil rights for hispanics that comprise 15% of our population.
Also let's talk about intolerance of others opinions. Beck has, on numerous occasions, accused anyone with a left of center view "has been raised to hate the United States." However, on the SAME show he called the US a "child molester" that is "destroying our families." I can't get it straight does he love this country or hate it?
Glenn Beck is border line seditious and should have his license to broadcast revoked. However, no politician has the stones to do that. So, we'll have to tolerate his existence. What we don't have to do is lend credence to his poisionous sermons. As for the first ammendment rights he has, let's just say that argument would bear more weight if he actually believed in the first ammendment.

This has become a waste of both our time. I obviously couldn't disagree with you more and the twisting of words and taking out of context...wow! The thought of pulling anyone's FCC license for disagreeing with them is completely unamerican. What about Bill Maher's obligation? What about all the other shows that push an agenda...should they be blocked to? Are we China?

TG my final post on this subject. I promise. When Beck incites bigotry and other forms of hatred, he has crossed the line and forfeits his right to be on the air. That's the law. Secondly you made your stand with Beck. I'm pointing out what a mistake that is. There was no "twisting" or "context" in my response, only quotes from Beck's show. You see, my facts are real facts. Beck's comments are based on his opinion with no basis in fact. He just makes shit up.
I'm not sure where Bill Maher entered this dialogue.
Next time we meet let's have a cold one and talk about the hobby, sports etc.
