Republicans gained what, 5 House seats? After losing more in 2018, than any party in history?

Slight mean reversion, not even close to ''repudiation''.

If this was supposed to be a Blue Wave and Biden wins, which I concede he will, how is it he couldn't get more House seats and take the Senate which I think the Republicans will keep but maybe by one single seat.

How is it that Trump increased his margins with Blacks, Hispanics and the Jewish vote? How was it that in Texas a state we were assured would turn Blue couldn't muster a single take over of a Republican seat? The headline in the Miami paper was "Democrats suffer a bloodbath in the Bluest part of the state".

Something happened here more than just a Biden win and it needs to be acknowledged.

The left deserves to crow about a Biden win but are hanging their heads and looking for answers as to what the fuck went wrong with every other aspect of the election. Pelosi and company need to figure out why the biggest Democrat turn out in history didn't give them seats in the House.

Once again, the Republican party is not dead and if the Dem's fuck up as bad as I think they will, the Republicans could very well take the House and Senate in 2022 and keep Biden in a box.

Oh and Biden or Commala winning in 2024? Never going to happen.

But hey, you got rid of Trump and that's all you got but for many, that was enough.

If Republicans manage to hang on to the Senate, that's all the win I need for now.

Everything that happened was a "repudiation" of that message sent by Democrats and the MSM.

There is always another side to a coin and another way of looking at any situation.

The much-anticipated, practically existential 2020 election, after all, did not produce the repudiation of Trump and his coarse personal style and politics of division that (slightly more than) half the country craved. The rips in the national fabric he’s spent the last five years showing and sowing are only more stark

With Trump at the top of the ticket, Republicans look like they’ve held the Senate and picked up seats in the House, and he not only held his base but built on it, already getting 5 million more votes than he did in 2016 and scrambling calculations of conventional wisdom by making unexpected inroads with Black and Latino voters. Even in a loss, Trump’s clout and support has somehow grown.

I hope somebody does a deep dive and reports who the Democrats were that lost seats relative to moderate or Progressive, first time Reps. or long time Reps because I haven't paid much attention to the House seats.

I'm thinking that if every one of them was a new timer, Progressive and they all lost, that will shake up the Progressives and give the moderates something to point to and say, "you idiots are going to far left with this crap" because I think that was the theme of this election.

Wouldn't it be interesting ( for me it would ) to take away every vote for Biden that was a vote against Trump but not really for Biden. What would "that election" look like?

Because if you voted for Biden, just to get rid of Trump, what happens when you find out you don't like what Biden has in store for you on fracking, taxes, jobs, Covid, the economy, foreign policy?

My Democrat friend tells me he is barely speaking to his brother because his brother loves Trump, in a manly sort of way and when he asks his brother if there is anything Trump could say or do to make him not support Trump, his brother answers no and he says he can't understand that kind of thinking. I tell him I see guys on this board saying the same thing about Biden. There is nothing he could say or do that would have made them not vote for Biden even if he was selling influence to the Chinese and the Chinese now had the kind of black-mail material on Biden that the Dem's insisted the Russians had on Trump.

Nope, wouldn't matter, don't care! Interesting times we live in. OH! and no, he has never heard of Tony Bobulinski or any deals with China but he assures me he will hold Joe accountable if it can be proven. I said good, because I said the very same thing about Trump. And there was no proof.

I believe the 5 that lost were either radical or too liberal for the district they ran in, they also lost to conservative female republicans.

this is the reason why the dem rank and file are so pissed at Nancy Pooplosi. stanky witch.
