Trumps DC trial suspended indefinitely

Hard to predict such things, but we'll go for it:

We find it more likely than not that the Supreme Court does not rule on the immunity issue before the 2024 election. This will allow the Court to defer making a ruling on a novel question of first impression (Presidential immunity from criminal prosecution) that will have significant consequences. Should Trump be elected, he will have the power to pardon himself. Should he lose the election, the Court can make its ruling after that time. The Court isn't in a rush to decide this issue, and such a strategy will keep it from making an election-altering decision. The Court is sensitive to its public perception and generally doesn't want to insert itself into electoral matters.

Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia rejects President's Trump request to dismiss his DC indictment.

Quote: "Any executive immunity that may have protected him while he served as President no longer protects him against this prosecution."

This will be headed to the Supreme Court. The DC case will not go to trial before the election.

... Hmmmm... So Tommy is WRONG - every time he mentions
Trump and rape with this case.

... Which has nothing to do with Trump's DC trial
being suspended... Not sure why Tommy even mentioned
the E. Jean Carroll case.

The DC case will not proceed until SCOTUS has a chance to weigh in

The same corrupt piece of shit Senator from Kentucky who blocked Obama's nomination with 11 months to go before an election (claiming "we must let the people decide"), also fast-tracked trump's nomination with less than 3 months to go before an election, while RBG's body was still warm.

And another judge mysteriously "resigned" just in time for trump to cheat his way into another pick. You might want to read the back story on that one. Absolutely filthy corruption and back scratching going on there.

So much for "letting the people decide". Today's SCOTUS is entirely corrupted by Republican poison. I wouldn't trust them to judge a beauty pageant.

Wielding political power granted by the citizens isn’t corrupt or illegitimate, it’s how the system intentionally works. It worked against the guys you favor this time. Suck it up, buttercup.
