"Dressing Age appropriate?"

Like most things, common sense works better than hard and fast rules. But I must say that I vehemently disagree about long hair. I, for one, find long, straight gray hair very sexy on a mature woman.

I never understood why women, after a certain age, cut their hair or opt for the poodle look. I'm NEVER going to cut my hair even when I go gray.
I personally like to dress older than my age.

Ok that doesn't quiet right.

I mean I like to dress more mature for my age

I gave away all my mini skirts, short shorts and other teenage memorabilia

A typical outfit I now wear often would be a longer a-line skirt with a silk blouse tucked in with a cardigan. I love cardigans. I have one in every color!....my proudest wardrobe accomplishment

I'm a fan of how michelle obama dresses
The older I get the more classic gets my look. From Hippie Punk to very elegant, so to speak. But always an element of fun, and art in it . I could never dress "the usual", also I never wear blouses, ever. Or Jeans (lol)

Thanks for sharing, good thread.

Hello Lovelies!

I`d love to share this article with you guys, which - of course - I do find wonderfully written and agree with mostly. I was wondering what your thoughts to this subject were? Looking forward to the discussion:

"Brown thumbed her nose at the notion that women of a certain age should be condemned to shuffle around in flat shoes and colorless clothing for the rest of their lives. She straight up wore what made her happy right to the end

....

There is harsh criticism out there for women who don’t “act their age." A quick Google search lead me to this horrifying list that helpfully broke down at what age women should stop wearing certain things:

Mini skirts, 35

Knee High Boots, 47

Leggings, 45

Ugg boots, 45

Swimsuit, 61

Bikini, 39

Long hair, 53

Ponytail, 51"
