I personally know some Army flight medics, former military officers who are part of the MH air ambulance team, along with some former Combat Medic- 68 Whiskeys & Air Force paramedics, who also work/have worked for MH Life Flight medical service.

These folks are the real deal. They have years and years of extensive medical training, and real world combat MEDEVAC experience.

It took forever for some of these professional people to land those jobs. They go through a board & selection committee process just to be considered for employment.

It's very easy to fly just like driving and I'm not a medic ..I fly only so much fun.

I dunno, maybe retiring isnt a good idea since you still have to do the rotary wing part AND capture thw 3K hours of PIC on all that. Seems like you woukd need the cash to fund that very expensive lot of training...
